Dr. Tarun Mehra
Dr. Tarun Mehra, originally from India, was raised in Moncton, New Brunswick. He was intrigued by a career that would enable him to provide patients with a beautiful smile; hence, he chose to become an orthodontist.
Dr. Mehra attended the University of Alberta, following his graduation at Dalhousie University, where he obtained an Honours Baccalaureate degree in biochemistry. Dr. Mehra completed his Masters of Science in the discipline of Pharmacology at The University of Alberta.
It was at the University of British Columbia where Dr. Mehra received his dental training. After earning a master’s degree in Oral Biology from Oklahoma University and an Orthodontic Certificate of Specialization, he has used his training, skills, and experience to provide treatment for severe dental deformations and syndromes.
He is extremely passionate about using his training to change patients’ smiles and, ultimately, their life. For more than 20 years, Dr. Mehra has been practicing in Calgary. Here he has established many amazing patient-dentist relationships and built lasting connections.
When Dr. Mehra isn’t transforming patients’ smiles, he is spending quality time with his family or exploring the great outdoors.
Dr. Sejal Patel – Dentist
Dr. Sejal Patel was born and raised in the sunny state of California. She was immersed in the field of dentistry at a very young age, growing up watching her father work in his general dentistry practice. Her years of being involved in the dental field have made her passionate about educating patients of all ages on the importance of proper dental hygiene and providing patients with guidance on preventative oral practices. She is always eager to listen to patients and deliver quality dentistry through communication and support by a friendly, caring dental team.
Dr. Patel finished her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Michigan at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. During her school years, she took great satisfaction in being a part of mission trips, traveling abroad to provide volunteer dental care to the underserved communities in the Dominican Republic. She is currently active in continuing her education through various dental courses in order to provide the best possible dental care to all of her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her friends, family and fiancé, as well as traveling to new and exciting places, watching true crime and cooking. Most of all, she enjoys being a big foodie and trying cuisines from all different cultures.
